Assuming that everyone parks properly, there is room for quite a few cars along here. This is my prefered starting point for a circuit of Loweswater or a walk onto the Fellbarrow / Low Fell ridge.

It as a fine evening to be out and about so with a bit of careful planning and coordination we managed to meet up at the right time and place before driving across to Loweswater for a short walk around the lake.

A close up of Red Pike and High Stile.

and not so close up.

Holme Wood - very peaceful through here this evening.

There must have been people staying in the Bothy tonight. A car was parked up, kids were playing next to the lake and, although the picture doesn't show it, there was smoke coming out of the chimney.

Low Fell seen on the opposite side of the lake and Whiteside seen way over on the other side of the Lorton Vale.

Watergate Farm and it's collection of upside down rowing boats.

A close up of Grasmoor and Whiteless Pike. Very clear indeed this evening.

And a wider view showing Robinson at the back of the picture and Mellbreak on the right hand side.

Whiteside and Grasmoor seen above the trees as we make our way to Maggie's Bridge.

And to finish - we look across the end of Loweswater to Hen Comb and Black Crag / Gavel Fell.
