Well folks, that's your lot for this year.
Please, please let 2013 be less wet than this year. Everyone knows the Lake District gets more rain than most areas but the last half of 2012 has been beyond a joke. To be honest it's not just us up here, I'm sure people in most other parts of the country will be hoping for a much drier 2013.
And what of next year? Well, my new years resolutions are to start smoking, eat more fatty foods and take less exercise. As far as walking goes I do have a challenge in mind and this one is even more obscure than walking over all the passes. This one is dependent on two things however. The first being the full recovery of my foot (which is slowly getting there) and the other is the need for just over two weeks of decent weather in May or June when the sun rises very early. If I do go ahead with it in the way I'd really like to, the whole thing will be completed in just over two weeks (no, it's not a long distance walk although it does cover a lot of miles). As the saying goes, you'll have to watch this space.
