Found at the southern end of Windermere, Gummer's How is a very popular little fell, and with only four hundred or so feet of ascent from the car park to the summit, it proves to be a firm favourite with families.

I know it was only a short walk we'd done, but that was our intention. Regrettably, it's not very often we get down to this part of the Lake District so we decided to combine a short walk with a visit to Cartmel.
