There isn't much room along here I'm afraid; four cars if you're lucky. Then again, and quite wrongly in my opinion, Binsey has a reputation of being an "also visited" fell, so the chances are that you'll still get a parking space.

Route Map

With such a rubbish forecast on television last night, we decided to take the opportunity to do some shopping in Carlisle. After all, just like summer, our holidays aren't too far off, and I've been told I need a new 'stuff'. Ever being the opportunist though, I suggested putting the walking gear in the back of the car, just in case we managed to get this far before the rain turned up.

Wrapped up against the elements.

The northern fells with their fast receding snow line.

Overwater, seen in front of Longlands Fell and Lowthwaite Fell.

A close up of Uldale.

Binsey summit (pronounced Binsa).

"I know you blend in well with the background, but I can still see you".
By the way; it was me talking to the sheep, not the sheep talking to me.

Almost back at the car now.
