Roadside, Caldbeck village

Although these is a car park in Caldbeck, there is also an abundance of roadside parking, so for the sake of simplicity I've just described this entry as roadside parking.

I'm not sure what this building used to be, which found just outside Caldbeck school gates.

Looking ahead to the fells below High Pike after the long walk out of Caldbeck.

And looking in the opposite direction.

High Pike summit, without a view.

Brae Fell seen from Deer Hills.

Caldbeck in the distance, just visible through the haze.

I didn't really spend that much time on the fells during this walk, but that was more than made up for by the lovely countryside I walked through, like this near Caldbeck.

And some more.

Walking along the lane between The Street and Townhead.

Back in Caldbeck.

The old smithy gift shop in Caldbeck. It was far too nice to jump straight back in the car and start driving home, so I had a walk around the village for half an hour or so.

Priests Mill.
