Car park, Cinderdale Common

There are a couple of small car park areas along Cinderdale Common. They're all free and offer easy access to Rannerdale, where during late spring the display of blue bells is simply outstanding.

Just after the start of the walk looking back across Crummock Water to Low Fell and Fellbarrow.

We didn't have much time to walk today so we thought a visit to the Rannerdale Bluebells was a good choice for a short walk, without having to drive too far.

Crummock Water and Mellbreak from the path through the Bluebells.

And again from a little further along the path.

The wooden footbridge over Rannerdale Beck.

Looking back down towards Crummock Water, Loweswater and Low Fell / Fellbarrow.

From Rannerdale Knotts looking to Robinson.

And again.

The rain soon cleared and as we were walking down from Rannerdale Knotts we got some lovely clear views over Crummock and Loweswater.

Back in the Bluebells again, only this time with the rain moving quickly towards us.

One last look through the Bluebells (from ground level).
