Parking spaces, Rigg Beck, Newlands Pass

This is another of the many disused quarries in the Lake District that have been adopted as an unofficial car park. It may not be the largest parking spot around, but if I were looking for a space in the middle of the day I'd be tempted to grab a space here rather than take a chance on one of the other car parks having room.

And again from further up the route.

Looking back down to Birk Rigg from about half way up Aikin Knott.
The little cluster of houses at the top of the picture is the hamlet of Little Town in Newlands Valley.

Knott Rigg from Ard Crags.
The larger fell on the left of the picture is Robinson. Newlands Pass can be seen running up between Robinson and Knott Rigg.

From near Knott Rigg summit looking into Newlands Valley with Cat Bells and Maiden Moor almost in sunshine. The fells in the far distance are Clough Head and the Dodds.
