Latrigg is an incredibly easy fell to visit and one I tend to go to at least a couple of times every year. The main reason is obviously because I enjoy it, plus the fact that it can be walked in just about any weather, the walks you can come up with range from less than a mile to as long as you can comfortably do in a day. And for such a small fell the view is just fantastic.
The northern fells as a range are set aside from everything else in the Lake District, and because Latrigg is found on the edge of the northern fells, there is nothing to hinder the view in most directions from the summit of Latrigg. The highlight in the views department has to be that down to Keswick and Derwent Water. If you look at nothing else, from here you can spend time picking out familiar streets and buildings in the town.
