Speaking for myself, I've never climbed Arnison Crag purely for it's own sake. Every ascent has been part of a longer walk where this fell was included at the beginning or the end. Usually when St Sunday Crag was the main aim of the walk. This doesn't mean the fell is not worthy of attention or that it has little of interest; quite the contrary in fact.
I'm sure that many people staying in the area will have thoroughly enjoyed having a short walk up here. As I've done many times, they'll have admired the fantastic view of Ullswater and reached the top just a little out of breath after scaling the little rocky section below the summit, which would not be out of place on a fell of double the height.
