Blea Tarn, Eskdale

Map

Being one of several Blea Tarns in the Lake District, this one is found on the oft times boggy ridge running between Eskdale Green and the lonely moorland around Burnmoor Tarn. Despite the boggy nature of its environs, you can actually reach the tarn with moderately dry feet if you take the path from Beckfoot. Venturing further afield will undoubtedly lead to soggy boots.
