Grassguards (pass)

 


You could argue that this isn't a pass at all, and you'd probably be right. However, it does present the shortest, the easiest and more to the point, the driest route between Eskdale and Seathwaite. It crosses the low point between Harter Fell and Green Crag and is an absolute delight from the loneliness of the higher section to the valley on each end of the route.
